1999 European Honda Accords!

1.6 - Non VTEC, 1.8 & 2.0 - VTEC engines!

The 1.8 % 2.0 Accords, have excellent road holding and the very good riding comfort - thanks partly to the new 5-link rear suspension common to the US and Japan Accords as well as the new TL . Also very high rated are the low noise level and the build quality. The engines - 1.8 & 2.0 - are very smooth, high revving engines although the 1.8L seems somewhat down on torque for hilly countrysides. The new Accords are somewhat smaller - length about 90mm, wheelbase about 52 mm less - than the previous model, however, thanks to increased height and width - 50 and 30 mm resp - and more efficient space utilization they are actually somewhat roomier although not class leading. Interior volume is comparable to e.g. Audi A4 and 3-series BMW, which Honda would like the Accord to be compared with.
